Green Mentors

Methodology

How the Ranking works

The Ranking follows a transparent self-assessment process supported by documentary evidence. Each university completes a submission across five elements -- scored, banded, and recognized on a single comparable scale.

Evaluation Framework

Five elements, one holistic measure

Universities are assessed through a nature-aligned lens — Earth, Water, Air, Energy, and Space — each mapped to institutional action and relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals. Leadership in even a single element can earn global recognition.

Scoring Rubric

Every indicator, scored 0-5

Each of the 50 indicators is self-assessed against the same six-stage maturity scale, so scores stay comparable across every element and every institution.
